There are no available direct flights to Bhutan from Toronto, Canada or any of its cities.  You have to connect your flight into Paro, Bhutan by Drukair or Bhutan Airlines from one of the following cities (The airport codes are given within the bracket):

• Bangkok – Thailand (BKK). Frequency: Daily.
• New Delhi (DEL) & Kolkata (CCU). Frequency: Daily.
• Kathmandu – Nepal (KTM). Frequency: Daily.
• Changi – Singapore (SIN). Frequency: Thursdays and Sundays (Twice a week).
• Dhaka – Bangladesh (DAC). Frequency: Daily.

The other ports of entry from India by flight are Gaya, Guwahati and Bagdogra.

All major cities in the Canada like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and others have flights connections to Bangkok, Singapore, Kathmandu, Dhaka and New Delhi.

To make it simpler for you, if you live in the west coast of Canada, then you have to fly to Bangkok. If you live in the east coast, then you have to fly to Delhi for onward flight to Bhutan.

Passport validity for travel to Bhutan.

The passport validity requirement for travel to Bhutan is minimum 6 months from the date of travel.

Baggage Allowances:

• Checked baggage: 30 Kg (Economy) & 40 Kg (Business).
• Cabin luggage: 5 Kg (Economy) & 7 Kg (Business).
• Excess baggage charge per Kg: 1.5 % of highest normal economy fare (Adult) for one way.

If you travel from Bangkok, request the ground staff at the check-in counter to issue the seats on the right hand side. If you travel from Kathmandu or Delhi, request the staff to assign the seat on the left side of the aircraft, possibly by window.
