Phuentsholing is one of the main entry points into Bhutan from the sweltering plains of Indian state of West Bengal at 293 m. Rinchending (Kharbandi) Goemba is located on a scenic vantage point overlooking the Phuentsholing town below. The Gompa houses idols of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, Guru Rinpoche and Buddha Sakyamuni. It has lush beautiful garden with 8 Tibetan-Buddhist Stupas. One can enjoy the amazing view of the Phuentsholing town and the never ending plains of Bengal.
This Park is in the heart of the town and is basically a leisure park with kids playing around and young couples take a stroll or relax. There is a temple adjacent to this park where you can see older folks circumventing it and chanting prayers. It is a well maintained park which makes it a popular tourist spot.
One of the best places to visit in Phuentsholing is Peeple Daara, at an altitude of 410 m from where you can see the beautiful view of Phuentsholing town below. Highly recommended time to visit this place is during the day when the sky is clear. One can see the beautiful Toorsa river flowing and the beautiful hills beyond Toorsa.
