The Snowman trek in Bhutan is rated one of the top ten toughest trek in the world. The trail passes through remote Lunana village bordering Tibet and trekkers often have to walk above tree line (Above 4000 m). On some days, the walking time is as long as 10 hours covering more than 19 – 20 Kilometers. The snow on the mountain passes and cold biting wind make it even harder for the trekkers to complete the trek. One needs to be in a top physical form to complete this trek.
Unlike in Nepal, there are no Tea houses in Bhutan so your accommodation will be in a tented camps or in stone shelter through out the trek. However we can arrange Homestay in few places like Laya or Thanza village.
The best time for Snowman trek is from Mid April – May end and End of September to End of October as the weather will be pleasant and there will be no snow on the mountain passes.
